Sintesis O-(4-Fluorobenzoil) Piroksikam Dan Uji Aktivitas Analgesiknya Pada Mencit (Mus Musculus)


The aim of this research are to synthesis of O-(4-fluorobenzoil) piroksikam and to determine its analgesic activity in mice (Mus musculus). The proccess is carried out by reacting piroxicam with 4-fluorobenzoyl chloride. The product of the synthesis was according to the ultraviolet; infra red spectrophotometer and iH-NMR spectrometer analysis, it was concluded that the synthesis compound was 4-(4-flurobenzoyloxy)-2-pyridinyl-2H-1,2benzothiazine-3-carboxamide 1,1-dioxide. The analgesic activity is tested using writhing test method. The results exhibit that in the dose 0,03 mg/20 gram mice body-weight, the pain-inhibition percentage of 4-(4-fluorobenzoyloxy)-2-pyridinyl-2H-1,2benzothiazine-3-carboxamide 1,1-dioxide is 49,09 %; In the dose 0,05 mg/20 gram mice body-weight is 65,62 %; In the dose 0,08 mg/20 gram mice body-weight is 76,90 %. However, the standard compound piroxicam in the dose 0,03 mg/20 gram mice body-weight was 35,43 % in pain-inhibition percentage; in the dose 0,05 mg/20 gram mice body-weight is 55,39 %; and in the dose 0,08 mg/20 gram mice body-weight is 71,13 %. It concluded that the 4-(4-fluorobenzoyloxy)-2-pyridinyl-2H- 1,2benzothiazine-3-carboxamide 1,1-dioxide has analgesic activity and is higher than piroxicam.
